Crop notes

It's been a mild, rainy spring with no late frosts... yet. Last frost as of now was mid-april and it was very light, then late in April, we had 4 days of temps in the 80s. There have been clusters of rain showers about 2 days every week and then 5 days of sunshine and pleasant weather. Seems a bit warmer than usual, 70s in the day and then 50s at night.

The apple blossoms came out 2 weeks ago and are now dropping the petals. The Frontenac and Frontenac Gris are out in full leaf and the Marquettes are green leafy and growing like mad. All the other types still look dead.

I've seen a lot of lightning bug look-alikes with orange heads and black bodies and a few lady bug look-alikes with orange bodies along with tons of spiders. Fertilized a few days ago with urea. The weeds seem happier now.

Prob will do a couple round up sprays in the next day or two.
